New TAXI SERVICE IN RIDGEWOOD
The Village of Ridgewood has issued a taxi license to Village Taxi, 28 N. Broad Street, Ridgewood. This taxi will provide 24/7 local and airport transportation services. Their contact number is 201/494-4444.
VILLAGE TAXI IS THE ONLY TAXI THAT WILL ACCEPT SENIOR CITIZEN TAXI COUPONS.

I have seen vehicles parked at the taxi stand at the station with a small sign in the window, but passenger license plates. Don't they have to put taxi plates on the cars?
Ridgewood Taxi is still in business, just not operating out of the train station.
Tried the new place for a long distance ride -- not happy at all.
Sticking with Ridgewood taxi which is operating out of Midland Park.
This new company is awful. I was almost hit by one of the taxi's from Village Taxi while crossing the street. Stick with Ridgewood Taxi they are the best.
10:31 and 2:09 that is nonsense...Village Taxi is run by E&K car service. Our and other families have used them for over 15 years (even rented buses from them for our entire wedding party in NYC). Bill, the owner, is very professional and runs a great car service.
I agree with 2:24. I was a loyal Ridgewood Taxi customer until one day when they could not accomodate me and I tried Village Taxi. They were just great and have been 100% reliable so far. I now call them first. Great for runs into Manhattan.
ridgewood taxi would still be in the same spot if they paid the bill and did not steel all the money that came in.they screwed up big time.
I suspect that the negative comments are being made by people associated with Ridgewood Taxi.
635 -- nope, no affiliation with ridgewood taxi -- just a bad experience with village taxi. Will try them again if the need arises based on other comments, but my first experience was not good.

I always enjoyed being driven by Mr Evans (of Evans Taxi)
No association here either I just don't feel safe using a taxi service where I have witnessed first hand there driver being unsafe and almost hitting me. What if my child had been with me. Sorry but that is a deal breaker for me.
