WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration on Wednesday denied a permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada, touching off a torrent of criticism from Republicans - whom the White House blamed for forcing a decision.

President Barack Obama, who was under a 60-day deadline imposed by congressional Republicans, left open the door to approve the 1,661-mile pipeline in the future. He also suggested the possibility of an alternative pipeline that could get Canadian oil sands crude to refineries and ports in Texas.

This will be certain to increase oil prices, thus enriching his Muslim relatives in the Mideast. We had a chance for energy independence, and he ruined that chance. Part of his continuing plan to destroy the USA.
Bet you liberals are happy you voted for him. You will be reminded every time you pull up to the gas pump with your SUV.

8:14, if ignorance could be converted into energy, you alone could support energy independence. There will be a pipeline, just not where they originally wanted to put it. As for "muslim relatives in the Mideast", I can only say that Obama is half African and half European, and has somewhere around zero middle eastern blood in him.

Have a good day, moron.

if ignorance could be converted into energy all the solar powered anti-drilling tree huggers could power us for all eternity.

Oh, wait, if we drill for gas and oil within our own borders we could achieve the same goal and the solar tree huggers could retain their blissful ignorance.

4:19, if you ever played Age of Empires or similar game you would know that you always chop your wood and mine your resources last, after depleting the rest of the game board.
