Speaking of New Year's Resolutions, I wish the Garbage Men would kindly make a resolution to PLEASE stop dragging their heavy cans across our lawn. They're killing our lawn (and our neighbors'). After years of asking them politely, giving them bottled water on hot days, beer for Christmas, even putting our garbage can on the curb, they still dragged their cans across our lawn! I finally called their supervisor. They stopped dragging for a while, but they're back at it with a vengence. I asked them one final time last week to please carry their cans. They were not happy with me and now they beep their loud garbage truck horn whenever they speed by my home in the early morning hours. It's so so sad and, admittedly, so am I.

serious lack of ambition or grandiose egos?
